Cocktail Hour Decor

Cocktail Hour Decor

Hey,
I wanted to know if any of you were decorating the cocktail hour and if so, how?
I am getting married in December at Russo's on the Bay and wanted some ideas.
Also has anyone ever been to Russo's during christmas? I am sure they have decorations up...if anyone has pictures - please post!

Thanks!!

Re: Cocktail Hour Decor

I ordered customized napkins with our names and dates, in our two colors (sage and merlot), and am putting them out next to each other on the bar, etc. but besides that not doing much else.

Oh we are putting some flowers on the bar, too.

We are not; our CH room is very decorated already so we are not doing anything to it.

I was considering the personalized napkins but I will decide whether I can put money towards that later.

We are doing rose petals and votives on the cocktail tables

My RH doesn't put anything on the cocktail hour tables, so we are going to put a small bubble vase on each table with a floating rose head in each vase. We will probably also have rose petals on the tables as well. I didn't want to spend too much because guests will only be there for an hour so we are paying less than $100 for this setup.

my CH is going to be outside (weather permitting ::fingers crossed::) so I will be doing something small on each table outside (something candle related). I was also planning on doing green and yellow paper lanterns over by where the food is served.

Plus through the night I know people will go out there to smoke and hang out so I am going to need something out there for the whole night.

2 standing floral arrangements, centerpieces (glass heart shaped bowls with floating starfish candles), personalized napkins and matches. We didn't want to go overboard for CH.

JT provides small seasonal centerpieces for the CH tables. We'll probably be doing personalized coacktail napkins but that's as far we're going to go. Though I saw a picture of a martini glass with a rose in it and it was really cute. I can't find it though.

Where I'm getting married the CH is already decorated plenty. Anything else would be distracting. I'm sure Russo's has pics of their rooms in December. All the RH's I visited had pics of the place in all seasons. Just ask them!

Mine's outdoors, so I'll probably have some flowers around to accent, but not much.

I am doing small vases with submerged orchids and rose petals on each of the tables, but I am not decorating the ceiling or anything as there are already things in place and I just wanted to keep it simple :)

Swan Club's CH room is already nicely decorated and they're doing votives on the tables for me. Personally, I would keep the CH room simple since the RH will be fully decorated.

Nothing. Mines probably outside weather permitting or if not then indoors. Didn't even think about decorating for it.

Lots of candles

I did 6' bubble bowls with flowers submerged and a votive candle in the flower. And I purchased the bowls to give to my florist. The total cost was $6 per table.

Russo's already decorates the CH for us with different floral arrangements and stuff.... you don't have to decorate
