cocktail hour music

cocktail hour music

is everyone having this? Seems to be an additional cost with most DJ's (apparantly my place has 'weird accoustics' and needs a DJ who is famililar with it) - I seem to remember the last few weddings I was at not having music, and I don't think I missed it. It is going to be crowded, so I don't think enough room for live music either....opinions?

I think the steel drums is s great idea.

I honestly cannot for the life of me remember how much we paid, since it was in with our DJ cost. I think (but I'm not 100% positive) that we paid between $250 - $300 for an hour, but they played an extra half hour at no charge.
It was a tremendous hit, and 2 of my guests hired my DJ along with the steel drum band with in week of my wedding.
I hope that helped! : )

Do you have the name of the DJ? $300 is a very fair price!

I didn't post the message about the steel durms it was JennRenee.
Let me know what she says. I might get them myself.

The DJ I used was Dancejock. I was very, very, VERY happy with the job they did, and highly recommend them. Give them a look... all of their contact info is on their website.

Good luck! : )
