so my mom and i are throwing my cousin a SMALL bridal shower (cocktail party) since shes having a baby only 3 months before her mom threw her a baby shower instead. so we wanted to something for HER! like all types of lingerie and things for her... but i could use some ideas... wording for the invites? do we need favors? how do i get the point across nothing for 'them' just stuff to pamper herslef. Thanks girls!

That's really cute... You may want to put something in the invite - maybe an insert - explaining what a personal shower is. To be honest - if I got that invite - i'd post on here, 'Does anyone know what this means'....but not everyone has a place to do that...
Maybe an insert that says something like,
As many of you know, Rebecca's had a baby shower already. With that done, I'd like to host a personal shower for her to enjoy. I'm asking that you bring.....etc, etc....
is she still pregnant or did hse have the baby? bc i wouldnt refer to it as a cocktail party if she is pregnant LOL

What about something like an, 'our favorite things' party? Asking everyone to buy their favorite thing for your friend? Then - at the party - they have to say why it's their fave. Think of all the really cool stuff you'd get to see & maybe wind up wanting to buy yourself..

Not at all.....whenever someone gives birth - i don't give baby stuff. I always get the mom a bath spa set thingy...since soooo much attention is on the baby...i try to make mommy know i care about her just as much...
My last friend who had a baby - i went to Harry & David and got all of her fave stuff... She called to say how much she appreciated it because she was swimming in stuff for the baby and i was the only one who thought of her chocolate cravings...
