I recently posted that my brother was newly engaged. He's interested in having a cocktail reception.
Can anyone recommend halls that offer cocktail receptions?
TIA!

Re: Cocktail Reception
Chateau La Mer does. One of my friends got married there and had a cocktail reception. It was elegant and very pretty...

Re: Cocktail Reception
This may sound silly but whats the cocktail reception. Is that drinks or cocktail hour extended for the reception? Does this make your reception cheaper because I am looking for a way to cut costs.
TIA

Re: Cocktail Reception
A lot of places offer it, but don't always advertise. Most places prefer you hold them in the afternoon on Saturday or Sunday or during off peak months. You should tell him to definitely ask any place he is interested in... you never know.

Re: Cocktail Reception
My friend had a cocktail reception at the Metropolitan in Glen Cove a few years ago. It was really nice.
