coe hall ?

Hi,

I have my heart set on changing my ceremony location to Coe Hall-actually I had an appt to sign the contract tonight but rescheduled due to their insurance policy. It says that each vendor must carry 2,000,000 policy-but continues that its $1,000,000 for each occurence and $2,000,000 aggregate. I have no idea what this means. I was under the impression that most vendors carry a 1,000,000 policy and that this is usually standard. I do not want to book a ceremony site and then not be able to use the vendors i already have or be able to find any vendors for things I haven't yet booked with this high of a policy. If anyone has worked at Coe hall before and can help explain this to me, I would be very appreciative. Thank you!

Hello! I am afraid I don't understand all liability and contractual jargon....but Coe Hall is certainly gorgeous!! I loved it there when I went on the tour this summer....However, ALL contracts are negotiable...so def. meet with someone who knows what they are talking about and get all the facts....they will probably be able to work something out with you if you already have your vendors booked....HTHS!

Re: coe hall ?

hey! let me help. i've been working in the insurance industry for almost 6 years. i actually write some policies for photographers. 1million occurrence and 2 million aggregate is standard. most of ur reputable vendors will carry these limits.
insurance 101: 1milion occurence means they will pay up to 1 million dollors for every accident.
2 million aggrgate means they will pay out up to 2 million dollars in a policy term.
FM if u have questions.

Just to let you know - some vendors don't have insurance. I am having a difficult time coming up w/ a string quartet w/ insurance. The 1 mill 2 mill is not that much. I am a teacher and I do private home care work and for a teacher, it was only like 200 for 1 mill 3 mill insurance. I can't believe that it would be so much more for vendors!
