I am very seriously considering having my wedding at Coindre Hall this September. We just met with April there and have a very good feeling about the place!
Does anyone have an recent experience with the facility and their services. Has anyone had or been to a wedding here recently???
We need to make a decision fairly quickly so any insights/feedback/inputs would be appreciated, specifically regarding:
Service Set-up Fun Factor Beauty Organization
Thanks!
Best, Somi

Re: Coindre Hall
I have no real advice, but just wanted to say we met with April at Coindre and really really liked her. She seemed very intelligent and wanted to make us happy. The place is gorgeous and it was a tough choice for us. I don't think you will be disappointed. GL!!

CappyGirl - Thank you so much for the rah-rah feeling!
I liked April as well and I thought the place was very very beautiful!
Where did you ultimately decide to have your wedding and why?

Re: Coindre Hall
Coindre Hall was the first place we looked at. I really liked it (and April) but ultimately decided that we wanted me dinner and dancing in the small place and not seperate room. If that is not a concern for you, I think its a beautiful venue.

Re: Coindre Hall
We didn't mind the separation of dinner and dancing so much, I actually like that European set-up, but we ended up going with the Inn at New Hyde Park. It's a well-oiled machine, they don't have to bring anything in, and they are well-equipped to do weddings. I guess I don't know how to explain it. Since the Inn is a restaurant and has a staff on site at all times, we decided that was really important to us - as opposed to a place like Coindre where everything has to be brought in for every event, even the staff. The only real turn-off was that the dining room overlooked the parking lot - but maybe that has been changed? I know Lessings was going to fix it up a bit. How does it look now? We saw it about a year ago.

Re: Coindre Hall
The dining room still overlooks the parking lot - but they have clever placed window dressings to better conceal it. It's not a deal breaker for me.
Any other Coindre Hall bride or am I the lone one in 2010. LOL!

Re: Coindre Hall
My new husband (!) and I were just married at Coindre Hall on November 6th (2010) and it was, without question, the best wedding that we ever attended. Our moms phones did not stop ringing while we were on our honeymoon with guests saying it was the absolute best wedding they were ever at also! I plan on writing an extensive review but haven't even unpacked yet. For anyone considering a reception there, don't hesitate for a second. If the separation of dance floor and dining room is an issue, we solved it simply by placing 2 video screens in the dining room that had a live video feed of the dance floor, it worked out beautifully and allowed for conversation at tables and the dance floor still stayed hopping! Please look for my in-depth review soon, but again, it was the best wedding ever!!! -Catherine
