COLD FEET?

COLD FEET?

For whatever its worth, I had cold feet periodically. Mostly whenever I tried on my dress (go figure...). I wigged out a little a day or 2 before the wedding & the morning of (again, after the dress was on). Spent most of my time shopping for shoes as a distraction - my VISA card was smokin'!!

But you know what? The second I saw Paul in the Church, I immediately calmed down and was peaceful. Everyone else disappeared and all I was aware of was us. Everyone says it happens and I didn't believe it, but it did for me. :)

Looking back, my cold feet was mostly attributed to the pressures of 'having all eyes on the bride'. When else in your life do people micromanage your appearance??? That...and making a major life commitment MAY have had something to do with it.

You will be OK :)

Be kind to yourself. Think back to pre-wedding - and do some of the things you used to do that made you happy. Make the time to have lunch with that friend that you haven't seen because of all your 'to-dos'....go on an actual date with your F (remember those?) and reconnect....

The seating assignments, the fittings, the inlaws....they'll be there when you're done. And you'll be able to manage them better because you've taken the time out to care for yourself.

Reaching out to a close friend to confide in is also key. My MoH stuck by my side throughout all my 'chilly' moments and kept me active.
