Cold medicine...

...have you been cleared on meds for colds?
I've been avoiding taking anything for 3 weeks, but I can't take it anymore. I'm constantly sneezing, can't breathe through my nose so I can't sleep at night, and have watery eyes. (PS: I've never suffered from Allergies.)

HELP! I have my 1st prenatal visit tomorrow, so I'm holding off calling the doctor, but would like to hear some feedback from you guys.

TIA!

I actually have allergies and the doctor told me that pg affects the nasal membranes bc of the hormones and extra blood flow. I have been congested for the last 12 weeks. Try using a humidfier at night it can help with the breathing. My doctor suggested taking Sudafed if I need some relief.

Good luck at your appt tomorrow.

OMG! That explains it!!!!!!!! I've been racking my brain here thinking that I'm doing something wrong, or that I'm actually allergic to something now! Thank you steph! I'm going to research that now.

I was also told Sudafed, but am afraid to take it... I'm being a baby... with a baby... lol.

No you're not! I don't like taking anything either, but sometimes it's the only way to get peace. I have had headaches and sinus pressure pretty bad the last couple of weeks, but I try to tough it out as long as I can.

Re: Cold medicine...

I had an OK from my Dr for one pill of regular Bendryl (NOT allergy) if I really needed to.
