I am thinking of having people RSVP through a website. I am not sure if I can justify the expense and waste of paper .. What are you doing?

Re: Collecting RSVP
FH loves the idea of the website RSVP, problem is, I have a lot of older family that wouldn't get it, and I think its too much to have a mix of both.

Re: Collecting RSVP
I went the pre stamped route and I'm still waiting on a few more than I thought I would be with 6 days left to RSVP.
Unfortunately I think anyway you go there will still be people who you have to track down. I like the Website or email Idea, just not sure if it will work with older guests

Re: Collecting RSVP
Fh and I got invited to a wedding last summer that had the online rsvp. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. It also left a phone # to rsvp for those who didnt respond via online....
I think it's a great idea, but then again some people don't go online!

Re: Collecting RSVP
I just saw this in my search for invites.... they had the option on the rsvp card
ETA: the pic is really small...it says you can also rsvp on the couples website with the link
but now my question is...do you still stamp all the rsvp envelopeS?

Re: Collecting RSVP
We are sending everyone a stamped RSVP card. On the RSVP, it says 'Online RSVP @ ourwebsite.net'.
After testing out all the online RSVP options, we decided to use weddingwire.
Just making it easier for some people.

Re: Collecting RSVP
I am having a rsvp card with a website and a phone number to rsvp to. On top of that, they can rsvp by mail, but sending out 150 envelopes pre-stamped is a lot of money and our family usually goes online or just calls, so I won't prestamp most, or any, of them.

Re: Collecting RSVP
we tried the computer rsvps for our engagement party I was a nightmare. People said it didnt work. it was literally emailing Some of the people didnt have a computer. Fing nightmare. We got only 10 rsvps via email out of the 50 people at the engagement party. For the wedding Im a pre stamping paper rsvps.

Re: Collecting RSVP
I'm sure things are going to start to evolve, but I think for right now anything other than a written response is really too informal for a wedding.
I did recently get an invitation where the response card was a postcard, so that was less paper (no envelope!) and less postage.

Re: Collecting RSVP
We did the pre-stamped rsvps.....I personally just think it's more formal and appropriate for a wedding, and i'm pretty computer/internet savvy.
