I thought of something else! If you`re not totally happy with the Long Island Maritime Museum idea..check out the Crow`s Nest Resort in Montauk. It`s right on the beach and they have this package for $65.00 per person, and you get a 3 day wedding reception package. I have more info if you need it.

thanks so much! i drove past the museum yesterday and although the location is very nice, the grounds were not well kept. i am sure that they are very nice in the summer though. i have thought about crow's nest and heard that it was a great place, but i think it is too far for our guests to travel. i am leaning more towards a yacht club located close to the church (huntington.) i visted the sewankah (sp) yacht club about a month ago. although i never went inside, it looks really nice from the outside and the views are incredible. i might give them a call later in the week and also look into other yacht clubs on the north shore.

That`s awesome you have another lead! If there`s anything I can do to help, please don`t hesitate to ask! I have a ton of info from other places we scoped out. Agreed on Crow`s Nest-we loved it but it was a little too far for some of our elderly guests.
