How are you saving for your little one's college education? We opened a 529 account and Umpromise account. Are there any other relatively safe ways to save\invest for college?

529s are great - just make sure to pick a company that has a good track record of asset management since they make the investment decisions!

You can setup a 529 with contributions and Upromise. Go aggresive to start and more conservative over time. You could also establish a UGMA & UTMA Custodial Account - or savings bonds.
