Colon cleansing or detoxification

Has anyone done either one of these?

Which kind? The procedure or the herbal cleansing. GNC has a colon cleansing system where you have to take supplements and be on a liquid type of diet for 2 meals a day. I did this with the Scan diet shakes. It got expensive and it REALLY CLEANED ME OUT (if you catch my drift.) I wasn't crazy about the whole liquid diet part but it was all I could do without being confined to the house . . .

I gotta say, I've read a number of articles on detox, and unless you're trying to cleanse yourself of an addiction, they're not necessary. Your body can take care of itself, for the most part.

I'd probably recommend just getting a colonic- just get it over with all at once. I've heard some pretty nasty things about colon cleansing- unless you can have CONSTANT access to a bathroom for the duration you're taking the pills/herbs, I'd go another route.

All kinds of nasty things cling to the lining of your intestines, and a cleansing or a colonic will get all that stuff out. A colonic is probably the easiest way to get it done, but it's a little bit *invasive* if you get my drift.....
