Color help

help.....
I am not good with imagining colors, but we are painting soon and I don't know what to do..this is my comforter and the carpet is different shades of tan/brown. Any color ideas?? (apt is pretty small so we don't even have a bedrrom set-luckily the closets are really big!!)

Also, the extra bedroom has a hunter green carpet and is just going to be an office for now, the desk is dark wood and there is a matching dreser any ideas for wall color in there?
