I need some input and Im hoping ya'll can help me.
I am having a fall wedding but I am not a big fan of orange, yellow....you get the picture. Can I use chocolate brown and robins egg blue as 'my colors' ( invitations, thank yous, favor lables, candy bar,cake....) but still use pumpkins, leaves and fall like items?
Do you think it will look mismatched? Look tacky?
Any input is GREATLY appreciated.

Re: Color Question-Help!!!!!!!!!
i don't think it would look mismatched at all. That shade of blue would actually go well with most fall colors.. I'm doing a dark icy turquoise and the florist had suggested doing oranges, browns , yellows..etc. with it because it went well together and i'm getting married in the fall ..but i already had my heart set on matching the blue up with black and having silver and white accents..so that's the only reason i didnt do it. I think the blue will really bring out the colors and offset them a little.

Re: Color Question-Help!!!!!!!!!
hi,
i think the blue/brown combo would look great too! have you thought about maybe doing deep berry colors? like deep purples, reds, etc? i keep wishing i was having a fall wedding so i could use all those sorts of colors! i'll see if i can find some pics for you....
thanx for the picture ideas. I actually do like those colors! Do you think they would look ok with the brow/blue combo? I think it may be ok since brown will be the dominant color and blue the accent.

I think it will be fine.... I would suggest tieing your robin blue into all your other 'fall' items... I think it would bring everything together.... just a thought... but I dont think it will be tacky at all

Re: Color Question-Help!!!!!!!!!
I think it will look great!!! Have your flourist make a sample of your flowers so that you can see what it looks like together.... but we did colors for our invites that have NOTHING to do with the colors of our wedding and everyone loved the invites and that's all that matters! And we loved them But exactly as the other girls said- it's YOUR day so do what makes YOU happy!! I think it will look great!!!

Re: Color Question-Help!!!!!!!!!
Hi, my daughter is getting married in two weeks and also wasn't a fan of orange, yellows and reds for the fall. She is using, Burgundy, cream , chocolate and black roses and coffee beans and a few gold small orchids. It is more the gem fall colors. Her BM's are wearing chocolate brown. Another great color with brown is purple. Good luck

Re: Color Question-Help!!!!!!!!!
A neat trick is to go to a hardware store or anyplace that has the paint sample color cards. Then you can pair the colors together to see how they look. It's hard for me to imagine what robin's blue will look like since I don't really know the shade. But, you can play with all the colors in the store and say you don't like that shade, you can come up with another. But Just because you are getting married in the fall, doesn't mean you need to follow a fall color scheme at all. Your ideas will work.

Re: Color Question-Help!!!!!!!!!
Robin's egg blue pops soooo beautifully against autumn tones. Think poppy reds and deep umbers with a splash of that pale blue. Or all pale blues and browns with just a touch of red.
