Color scheme

Hi everyone-

I am trying to decide on a color scheme. Our wedding in St Patricks Day '01 and well - wouldn't you know it - green is a color we are considering! I love hunter green so I have no problem with it. Additionally, we are having the reception at the Milleridge and their colors are greens, pinks... Another color scheme I had in mind is silver/platinum and purples & pinks. I am very undecided. If I could figure out a color that I LOVE with the hunter green, I would definitely go with it but so far, I keep coming back to purple. I just can't quite picture the green & purple together. Anyone have opinions on this color choice or another color to go with the green????????? Thanks.

A deep purple and gold would look lovely with your hunter green!!! Besides, Mardi Gras is that time of year, too! Personally, I love those three colors together...just my opinion!

Think of flowers you like, this might help. I loved shades of purple. My colors are periwinkles, purples, lt. blues. You can try green/yellow, green/lighter shades of green, green/cream. I can't picture the green/purple either. Maybe lt. green/lavender. There are a lot of lt. green dresses out that are really nice. Good Luck.

I was very impressed with their work, every album had a mix of black & whites/color and candids which was exactly what we wanted. They didn't looked fake or posed.

I didn't go with their video it was a little pricey for something so standard.

Thanks - I loved the feedback I got from everyone on the color scheme. The green/purple/gold sounds nice - I never even thought of gold...of course we looked at photographers today and in looking through all the photos I was back in love with silver/purple/dark pink. Well, I still don't have to decide YET.

I haven't been to the other islands - -but I would suggest that you also call the Chamber of Commerce for each island, they will send you brochures and inform you if there are any events or festivals going on during your stay.

I agree, that has been what I am finding too, that we will have to find the style THEN the color on the bridesmaids dresses and then hopefully it will all fall into place afterward. So first my dress and then that style will dictate their dress style. I am enjoying myself overall with the planning, which has been my goal - to enjoy the process. So far we have been having a good time with it. Now if I could get him to stop adding people to the guest list....haha
