Color scheme advice

oops. sorry about that. ... ok, so i'm getting married march 20, 2004. i'm having trouble decideing what color the girls should wear. it' still pretty much winter, but technically it's the day before spring. ... so do i put them in winter colors or spring colors? thanks for the suggestions.

I personally view March as Spring so my choice would be to go w/ a spring colored theme. JMO.

I had this same dilemma! I ended up go with claret (a ruby red) and deep rich purples. I had a couple of ideas but I actually picked the bridemaids dress and made my final decision when I saw the colors it came in.

When I think March, I think Spring but it usually very cold in March. So I would suggest being kind and choosing a dress that is appropriate for a cold night. So in that case, I think a winter scheme is most appropriate since a long sleeve dress in pink doesnt seem right to me.

But more important than season is time of day - if your wedding is at night, I would go for a darker color/more winter scheme. Pastels/spring tones are better for daytime.

the reception is at night (the ceremony will be at 2:00 and the cocktail hour will start at 6:00 - - by the way what is everyone doing with their guests inbetween the ceremony and the reception)

I'm getting married on March 1st, I had the same question back when I was picking my MOH (my sister only one on my side of BP) dress. My favorite color is green, I loved the Honeydew Melon strapless/plaid Jim Heljm dress and a B2 dress, my sisters favorite color is purple. I felt either color was fine but we ended up going with Victorian purple. I think anything goes after all it's YOUR wedding!! Good luck with the planning.

I think I'd go with Spring styles, although red is good anytime. Since it can be chilly you may want to consider a wrap or a jacket or long sleeves--don't want the BM's to have highbeams or blue lips in all the photos.
