I know I definitely want sapphire blue and ideally some kind of purple...will that work? and what kind of purple do you think will be best? Any suggestions would be great! TIA

i think it should be a lighter purple bc sapphire is dark..maybe lavender?

I think you could totally get away with a dark purple.
These are my wedding colors and I was worried about this also. When I get home I can send you my inspiration board and you can see how the colors look together.

I would say a lighter shade of purple to make the saphire stand out.. Dark Purple with Saphire might blend in too much.

Personally, I love the look of a magenta with sapphire... or a dark pink, that ends up looking almost purple

I like the dark purple. Just pick the shade carefully!! The dark shades can be nice together if they are both jewel tones....it's very mardi gras lol

I love dark purple. That's the basic color of my wedding. My bms will be in dark purple and moh will be in a lavendar or lilac

I would so do this if I was getting married in the winter! I would probably add some deep reds into the mix as well.

With sapphire, I would go with a lighter purple color (there are lots of names for this - lavender, lilac, wisteria). My parents used to have a purple rose, I think it was blue moon, that would look nice with the sapphire.
If not, go with a brighter, reddish purple, like a sangria color.
Sorry for all the David's Bridal color names....I'm looking at bridesmaid dresses right now.
