Re: Coloring eggs?

First you have to hard boil the eggs and it take forever... about an hour, maybe a little more. Then I'd recommend getting one of those egg dyeing kits and you'll also need vinegar and water. You mix the little tabs with whatever the amount of vinegar and water they tell you and mix it up and you're ready to dip your eggs! I love dyeing Easter eggs! I did it last year with my FG and we had so much fun!!

Hard boil the eggs..when they cool off (put them in cold water) you dye them

I use the kits with my kids and they come out great.

The longer you leave the egg in the brighter they come out.

You buy the egg color kits they sell them at CVS or Walgreens and targets walmarts. Then you boil the eggs for about 15min. Then run them under cold water to cool. When the egg are cooled off then you color them. The back of the coloring kit will tell you how to mix the colored tablets. I use vinegar mixed with water to get Vibrant colors.

Make hard boiled egg. Basically boil them in water for about 15 minutes.
Let them cool off completely.
Then you can buy an egg dying kit at a drug store or supermarket. I usually buy the Paas brand.
All you do is put the colored tablet from the kit in a cup with a certain amount of water and white vinegar and you dip the eggs in the colors you want and let them dry.

It's really simple!! FH and I are doing that tonight!

lol. I'm Dominican so I feel your pain. I made my first batch w/my son today. I just bought the kit for like 2 bucks at target and boiled the eggs. It was pretty easy, just make sure you put down newspaper because that stuff stains.
