How did everyone pick their colors , by season or just theur fave colors??

Lilac has always been one of my faves and I always wanted lilac in my wedding so I picked that, then I have some pink accents and that's another one of my faves.. but it's really because it goes better with the decor of my RH!

I always thought i wanted a black and white wedding.......then last year when i was picking up my bridesmaid dress for my FBIL's wedding i saw a picture of a bridal party and all of the BM's had black dresses with beautiful red roses...and i knew that that was what i wanted to do!
