How did you girls decide on colors or a theme for your wedding? is it the same as your bridesmaids dresses? did you select a theme and then the colors/vice versa/ or they had nothing to do with each other?
I havent selected bridesmaid dresses b/c i cant find anything i like.. but i wanted to start ordering other things and i just feel like im stuck until i decide on a color?

My theme is fall, my colors are reds, yellows, browns, oranges, etc.
My BM dresses will be brown. I don't think you need to pick a color before you look for dresses. Most dresses are available in a ton of colors.

Being that we had to have a winter wedding, i wanted to do a winter wonderland theme and go with blues/white/silver and snowflakes, thats how the theme came about
And then I started looking at BM dresses and found a navy one that i liked and you can get different color trims

I don't really have a 'theme' I found a picture of a wedding Mindy Weiss did and knew I wanted my wedding to look like that. So my colors are black, white and red, everything is damask.

I don't have a theme - well loosely a cherry blossom theme
I just have colors - ivory, pink and sage and just because i thought it would look nice for a spring wedding

Old Hollywood...black, ivory, and a bit of the deepest red rose that there is..almost black, I have old pictures from some ebay vendors of movie stuff from like Liz Taylor and Marilyn Monroe..our place cards are by an etsy vendor and half will be director's chairs and the other half are movie clappers (the things that are black and white and say the movie on them and someone snaps shut when yelling action).

Don't really have a theme. But, my colors are purple, green and white. The BM dresses are purple - and all the flowers will be green and white. Just decided this recently!

All fall colors. Except my girls will be in clover (green) because its my favorite color and the wedding dresses I have been looking at on-line all have green in them.

I had the biggest trouble ever deciding colors. It has caused me the most sress thus far with the wedding planning. I actually still am not 100% sure of what I am doing.
Pink is my favorite color, and I really want fuschias and raspberry pink... bright pink but not hot pink. I searched every bridesmaid dress designer and could not find any colors that matched what idea I had in my head. I eventually found some, but then I changed my mind. EVERYTHING is going to be pink: the decor, flowers, etc. So I decided that if the BM dresses were pink that would be too much. I am putting the BMs in a caramel/champagne/gold color so that all the pink around them really pops.
I don't have a theme, we are relying on our colors (pink with a champagne/gold accent) as our theme.

my bf's brother is marrying Mindy Weiss' niece so she is planning the entire wedding for them. I am like omg you have to invite me as your date to the wedding bc i am dying to be at an event she planned!
my colors are black white and pink...love black and white but wanted to add a springy color which is why i went with the pink!

I'm doing a black and white wedding and using crimsom and gold as accents.
I was totally stressed over which colors to use, so I definitely feel your pain.

i love the look/feel/simplicity of cherry blossoms...so that has been in my head all along
we arent using any actual cherry blossoms as decor since they are fickle...but we are going with branches/blossoms for CPs...and colors will be in cherry blossom family (dusty rose, champage, etc)

Since I am getting married in an aquarium, I am worried about being too themed! But for BM dresses I was thinking about deep blue or teal, like the colors on a peacock, not sure what color flowers yet. I don't want to go overboard with the aquatic stuff where it gets tacky.

Originally my wedding was going to be in feb or march so I thought about doinga winter theme with blue(my fave color) and silver. I also wanted to see if I could incorporate something to do with snow (maybe snowflakes somewhere) bc fh and his dauther hav never seen winter or snow!! when we went to book we decided on april 2nd (due to a holiday=timeoff)
Now I am technically in spring (as i only recently found out ) and so have to start all over. I was thining of still doing blue but maybe with a fucsia bouquet (or some pink) that kinda evokes spring and its FHs daughters fave color.

We're not doing a theme but our colors will most likely be green and pink. Light green BM dresses, and pink flowers. We are going to get married May or June 2011 so we want it to be spring colors.
