Has anyone been to a wedding where the app and salad were combined on one plate instead of two different courses? FI wants this so there imore continous dancing. There is an elaborate cockatil hour, but I am afraid some people may still be hungry (serving main course and cake, and a platter of pastries per table).

I was just at two weddings where they did this. It is very popular now b/c people would rather dance than keep getting interrupted to eat.
We are having this but we are also having a hot appt. so it will still be three courses plus dessert. If we had the salad seperate it would be too much sitting.

We are doing that for our wedding at Flowerfields..it is a combined first and second course. I think it is a great idea and they combine food items that go well together. I was told it saves about 20 minutes of serving time.

We are having this also, but we will also have a pasta course before the entree is served.

We did this at ours . We also didn't want to stop the dancing every 5 minutes for early courses which people ususally don't eat b/c they're not hungry yet!!!
We served a HUGE crab cake over salad. It went over terrific & everyone said they enjoyed it!

We're doing this. We have a very big cocktail hour and are combining. We went to a wedding in August and there were so many courses that it actually got on my nerves!
