Comisserate with other brides 2 be

I'm getting married on July 8, 2006.
My best friend is not in a relationship. My cousin who is like a sister to me is going through a divorce. My mother is just not really into celebrations. I just need to get excited about my wedding with someone who really understands. Without making someone feel sad or jealous. Not that they feel that way, but just wanted to speak to someone who is getting married this summer. I'm happy.

Wow, have u gotten your dress yet. I had An appointment at Davids Bridal Last week but had to cancel my best friend my MOH. Could not get a sitter for her three year old. I'm getting nervous.

Yes I did...We pretty much have everything done only because we wanted to get it out of the way ASAP!

I'm getting married at Douglaston Manor. Its's a dumb question. But is that considered Long Island or Queens. My Groom to be says it's Long lsland.

My dad is in the middle of his second divorce, and all of my step-siblings are supposed to be in my wedding, one of them is a BM. So my poor dad is a wreck...FH's parents are moving to AZ this winter, and my mom went and got a second job to help me with my wedding, meanwhile she can barely afford her house. But I'm so excited to marry the man I love! I'm looking foward to every second of our day! Trust me, we all have other stuff going on besides our weddings on here, you're not alone! Just keep planning and enjoy your engagement, you only get to do this once!

Well Queens is part of Long Island (geogrpahically speaking) BUT Douglaston is in Queens

Hi, we're also getting married this summer, again the weekend after you. Douglaston Manor is nice, my cousin got married there a number of years ago. It's the border of LI/Queens, but technically in Queens.

We haven't ordered our bm dresses yet as my MOH is pregnant & another bm just had the baby last week. They told me as long as we order by January we'll be fine. You have time yet.

Have you decided on a band/dj yet? Do you live in Queens?

I have the DJ picked out it comes with the pakage. I don't live in Queens but my Groom 2 be is from Queens. I can't wait to see my Dress. I have not even been to bridal shop.
