Does anyone commute to NYC from Commack? If so, which train station do you use? Do you find it do-able, or a grand pain-in-the you know what? We are considering moving there but I'm worried...any thoughts?

I grew up there and all my friends' fathers took the train from Kings Park.

Re: Commack Commuters?
Where are you commuting to? I worked at GCT and it was great taking a train from KP to Hunterspoint and then taking the 7 train ... didn't have to deal with Penn

I am commuting to midtown -
For Kings Park - there are no direct trains, right? Isn't it too long of a commute?

Re: Commack Commuters?
The ride is shortest to Penn from Huntington, but there are a bunch of stations right around there depending where in Commack you are.
Deer Park is direct, Kings park and E Northport you have to change trains (at Huntington)

Re: Commack Commuters?
Actually, the train I took from KP was great (it WAS the 6:47) it stopped at Npt then went all the way to Jamaica (I think) and I stayed on until HP Ave ... took the 7 two stops to Grand Central I would be at my desk by 8:05
