Re: Commuting Questions

10 min. or less driving each way I love being so close to work! Before I moved the comute was about 25 minutes.

I don't think I would travel more than 45 min. each way, unless it was for $$$$$.

Re: Commuting Questions

1. my commute (door to door) is exactly 60 mins each way

2. I would be willing to push it MAYBE another 20 minutes, but it would have to be for a really REALLY good housing situation or more $$

My husbands' commute is anywhere from 1.5 hr to 2 hrs each way, depending on traffic (he drives from Westchester to LI everyday). He certainly is not going to commute any longer - its already bad enough

1 hour 40 minutes door to door

The train is only an hour but I am counting driving to the station, then walking to work from Penn

This is hell for me and I wouldn't agree to a minute longer of a commute

Re: Commuting Questions

1. 1 hour & 20 minutes between the RR, 2 subways & driving to the RR.

2. This is TOO long already!!!

Re: Commuting Questions

Thanks everyone- I didn't know so many people had such long commutes. DH and I now live in Queens, and I work in the Bronx (usually 15-20 minutes) and he works in Westchester. We've noticed that we can get more for our money in parts of CT, so we're really thinking about that, even though his commute will get a bit longer and mine will get a lot longer. But the housing situation may make it worth it.

45 minutes door to door. Great Neck to the Chelsea area of NYC. LIRR and Subway 3 stops!

I would not commute a minute longer.

15 minutes from bellmore to port washington.

I wouldnt travel more than 45 minutes to work...

Danielle works around 10 to 15 minutes from her job too.

She used to go from bellmore to Howard Beach during rush hour and it used to take her 45 minutes....

Re: Commuting Questions

1. on a good day, about 30 minutes. If the subway is super slow, it can take 50 minutes

2. I used to live in Jersey and work in Brooklyn, that took an hour and a half. I wouldn't do more than that.
