Companies Going Out of Business?? (Kinda Wedding Related)

Companies Going Out of Business?? (Kinda Wedding Related)

I got this email from a friend of mine and I know for sure that Linens N Things, Levitz, and Hollywood Video are the ones that filed for Chapter 11 and are/will be going out of business- but how true is that BBB and the rest of them are going as well???

This is what the email said:

The following companies just filed for Bankruptcy:

> Hollywood Video
> Levitz
> Sharper Image
> Performance Team Freight
> Linens n Things
> Circuit City
> Bed, Bath and Beyond

> If you have gift cards from the above list use them ASAP, they will not
be valid for much longer.

I am taking some of this with a grain of salt and this is not to panic people into thinking that this is true.

Not a problem- I don't think that some are true though. I do know that Hollywood Video closed down lots of their stores and also I got an email from Linens N Things that they were filing Chapter 11. Levitz is also an obvious one that we all know about.

I'm concerned most about BBB.

Someone got this email earlier in the week and posted it. Then someone posted a response which included a link to a website which stated not all of those companies are going out of business and BBB is one that is not.

Type in Urban Legends and there's a website that de-bunks them, this is one of them, and there are more details there. Unless someone remembers the website it came from and can post it here?

Ah cool I love BBB and I would hate to see them go out of business.

Thanks for this post. I'm glad BBB is not filing for bankruptcy- I like that store!!!
MY FH was offered a job at Levitz in their IT dept and turned it down because the person he interviewed with told him something about their having financial difficulty- I'm glad he didn't take it!!!!

I have heard the same thing but I was told BB&B was not going to close. So you never know what to believe!

I'd be so glad that he didn't take the job!

It's nice that they told him about them having financial difficulties.

I love BBB- there's one that has been around my area for a few years now so I'd hate to lose it.
