Completely dumbass question

I have makeup trial, but it's at a hair salon so I'm also getting a trim and a blow out.

I'm to ask this...
should I was my hair before I go or will they do it?

I usually go to my tried and true hairstylist who works out of her home - and sometimes my hair is washed before I go, or she washes it. Depends. But the salon scene, I'm a little old to it. Do they automatically wash it for you? Is that part of the deal? Or is that totally optional?

you should go with your hair washed and blown out - they will charge extra if they have to do it for you!!!

They usually include the price of the wash in a blow out.

I love the feeling of having my hair washed and getting that scalp massage. If you're strapped for time though, DIY.

they usually like that your hair is clean already so they can just wet it a little if they have to trim and blow out.

when i go for a blow out they usually ask that i have my hair clean first.

Ok okay so I should wash it myself then and they'll wet it down to cut it and blow out? Thanks!!! I prefer to use my own shampoo anyway- I need that volumizing stuff!

Usually if you get a haircut even a trim they will wash it.

but her hair has to be wet to blow it dry! they will likely wash it for you if theyre trimming and doing a blow out, since its not just a hair trial.

this being said, i always wash before just in case and bc i hate to go anywhere w/o washing bc my hair is so thin it gets greasy so easy.

I would call the salon and verify whether it is included in the price or is it seperate. You don't have to give your name if you're embarrassed about asking.

i didn't see the part about you getting it cut!

if your appointment is for a cut and a trial, then they should be expecting to wash your hair before they cut it.

When I go to my salon the price is the same whether it's washed or not. It's usually included in the price.

oh well I guess it's getting a second washing cuz I just washed it- I used tons of volumizing shampoo. Oh well, we'll see how it goes!! Thanks all!

Tara, I see you already washed it so that's fine. But every single time I've been to the salon for a cut and blow dry, they ALWAYS wash it. I've never washed my hair before hand - I also prefer having my hair cut when it's wet wet, not just slightly wet.
