Completely new, and trying to figure out where to start! (Engagement Party?)

Hi! This is my first post! Please bear with me!

MY FH and I are over the moon about our engagement. This passed week has been a dream! Now all the questions come flooding in. We figure the best place to start is to think about an engagement party. We want to keep is cost effective and simple. We were thinking Knights of Columbus, American Legion, along those lines....

I live in Queens, and he in Shirley, so we were hoping for something about midway. Maybe Babylon area?

Any and all ideas/suggestions welcome! Also, any pricing info too!!

Thanks! Hopefully I will get better at this as I go =)

There is a K of C in Farmingdale! I'm unsure about pricing, but I think they're great places to have parties. And the Farmingdale one at least also has a jukebox, table supplies, and beverage appliances available for rent as well.

I used to throw Halloween parties for my old company, and since every employee had to pay thier the cover to get in I have had to shop around alot dor thw cheapest place!! the American legion in copiague if u want to byof Ithink open bar is $15/pp....and they dont charge u that $500 rental fee!!! if u want the cater so u dont have to worry about being in your own good kofc on lindenhurst I think they were $33/pp..... I used that one a long time ago so im not 100% sure bc I've used the American legion in copiague for the last 4yrs. this year I didn't work there so it's the first year I stopped.
farmingdale kofc is very nice but that's byob and byof! personally that's too much work for me.

oh yea check out this websuite, it's cheap places that r like kofc abd those places bit they are different!!hall rental

Hi!

Congratulations and Welcome!

I just booked my engagement party a few weeks ago at the Knights of Columbus in Seaford. The room is really nice and its very reasonably priced. I'm having over 100 people at my party and room is very spacious and will hold way over 100. I think its a great option.

If you want any information on the place just send me FM.

Hi Amanda,

I am new here too!!!

I had my engagement party at Timber Point Mansion. We did a Sunday brunch there in August and it was absolutely amazing. My guests are still raving about the food and the gorgeous view!

My second choice for the engagement party was Shandon Court. I loved it there. They seemed very flexible and relaxed and the room is beautiful.

Let me know if you have any questions about Timber!

I had my eparty at Mirabelle in stony brook. I did a champagne brunch a little different but it was amazing. Everyone raved about it for months and how much they enjoyed it. It was a very reasonable price. Not sure if that's too far.

Hi.

We had our e-party at Cooperidge Inn in Baiting Hollow.
The food was amazing and we moved the party to the outside patio once our party ended.

We are having ours on the Lauren Kristy - a 65ft paddle boat that goes out of the marina in Bayshore. I am not 100% sure of the pricing becuase my mom is organzing but i know that there is a flat fee for up to 75 ppl (boat holds more than that) with open bar.

Also, my FH works at Oriellys Restaurant/Pub in Oakdale and I know they have very reasonable pacakages which range from soda/coffee , beer/wine/soda/coffee, to open bar. And the food is delish! lmk if you want prices and I can FM them to you

There is an American Legion in Babylon right off of Main Street. Not sure if American Legions are affiliated with each other but I had our engagement party at the American Legion in Smithtown (pics in my albums) The place held our 110 guests perfectly- and the best part about it was that we were able to have the room the night before, and the whole day of to do any decorating! If you want more information FM me!
