computer...

my computer freaked out this weekend and is not letting get online.. i spend most of my evening on the phone with optimum online and dell.. they think it s a virus.. great! i was starting to have LIW withdrwawl..LOL thank goodness i can online at work..

i want a new computer!!!!!!!! anyone know how to fix computers?

I know there was a virus going around recently that came across as an attachment power point presentation.

I would try running a virus scan on your computer at home, maybe you do have a virus. Do you have antivirus software?

OK, I had the same problem and was on the phone with cable for an hour one night. All you have to do is disconnect the wire that is plugged into the router, wait like a minute and plug it back in. Open up the internet again and you should be golden!

Might sound so stupid, but it works every time

Thats not a bad idea my FFIL is computer savy and he says when in doubt shut it down/unplug and try again

So I got home from work today to find an angry Fh. He had spent over an hour trying to fix the internet. It turned out to be a problem with the router. We have optimun online and a wireless linksys. If you are having the same problem and have the same router try inputting your ip address instead of having it set to find automatically. Not sure if it will help but worth a try. Fm me if you have questions and I will ask FH. good luck
