Computer Patch help... Computer Gurus where are you?
okay about two months agao..my computer suffered a terrible virus..
we cleaned the entire thing out and started from scratch.
We now have Win Xp and it was fine, but recently it started to slow dwon ALOT!!!
Outlook express takes forever. I also downloaded some Norton updates and it said I needed to get some sort of patch for security reasons to help with messanger..which is weird b/c I have gotten strange pop ups form messanger mostly advertisements.
I go to this site www.patchwindows.org and it want me to pay 19.95 for this patch.
problem is how do I know if this site is legit? I don't want to put in my credit card ..i've heard horror stories from browsers that looked like AOL things and weren't.
What should I do?????
