Computer Printable Placecards

Anybody doing their own placecards on the computer? Where are you getting the paperstock? How does it come? 8 1/2 x 11 with preferrations?

my advice is to buy finish matte paper (thicker w/professional look)

and use Microsoft Publisher. Word is a good alternate...

with pulbisher, you can desgin a pattern and a speicfic size. for where you want to cut, just draw a very thin boarder around your picture and cut with a straight edge...

(i have one of those machines that you can cut like 10-15 peices of paper at once)

with the pefrations (sp) it might leave uneven or not flat edges and what not... but it would work

I was going to do printable ones, but then I just used the ones the Hall gave me.

I was going to use plan business cards (you can get them from Staples or where ever) and then just put them in/on a place card holder.

And I also saw these printable placecards 'Easy to Print Place Cards' in Krolls. Try here they have the templates and instructions for these place cards and more!Masterpiece Studios

Ooo! I like the ones from Masterpiece Studios.

What do you girls think about the preferation/straight edge issue?

I'm just not sure I want to hand write them all. My aunt volunteered to do my invitations, but I feel bad asking her to do this too.

Either way I think I want to get something nicer than what the country club provides.

What's everyone else doing?

Exactly how they come. I had bought mine in Staples.

I saw them at Staples but just didn't find a design I liked (they were very contemporary and they only had 2-3 to pick from)

I would like to do them myself but the perforated edges scare me.

Has anyone used them? How do they come out once you separate them?
