So it's 5 a.m. and I can't sleep!!! Having all sorts of wedding dreams so of course where do I end up .... on the Internet! LOL
Anyways, please please please give me your opinions and feedback on either having someone print the wedding invitation envelopes or if we use clear labels to address.
I dont know, to spend the money to have the envelopes printed, just so they can be thrown away!! BUT are the address labels cheesy????
OR maybe you have suggestions on an inexpensive person that printed your envelopes that you could share.
Thanks so much!! I'm going to try and get some more sleep!!

Re: Computer printed envelopes vs clear labels - HELP
Print them on the envelopes - they look great (at least that's what I think, and that's what I did.)
inkspun.com does computer calligraphy, as well as a few vendors on here.
Here's my envelopes that I did myself:

i'd say print them directly on the envelope
cut a plain piece of paper to do your test runs to make sure its set up right... then go for it! thats what i did for my std's .. took a few tries haha but i got it right.. then it was a breeze!

Do the envelopes. IMO It looks more formal on the envelope. Your wedding is the biggest day i think it is better to go the extra step and print on the envelope. Once you get one done it is pretty easy to do the rest. When doing the envelopes you should cut pieces of paper to the size of the envelopes and practice.

I'd have to agree with everyone else...to print on the envelopes is a little work to set up in he beginning but IMO the end result is 100% better looking and more classy than labels

that's what i did for both my sister and brothers graduation announcements....it is time consuming but you should save the money....since everyone tosses the envelope anyway.

I also agree. printing them on the envelope is better. It looks nicer. And cleaner.

Re: Computer printed envelopes vs clear labels - HELP
I printed directly onto my envelopes from my computer. It was a little difficult figuring out the mail merge in MS Word but I was happy with the result and it didn't cost me anything (except the ink of course!).
Supposedly it's 'tacky' to use clear labels on wedding invitations but it's not the end of the world. My cousin did it for her wedding and everyone still showed up, had a great time, and they're just as married as someone who spent $$$ on calligraphy.
So do what works best for you!!

i agree with the other ladies! print directly on the envelopes!
everyone does it differently, but because i'm anal....i printed out all the addresses on a spreadsheet and then, used MS Word to print envelopes. i typed every address individually!
measure you envelope, and enter those measurements as your page size dimensions, then use a ruler and figure out where you want the font to start and stop....and that is your top margin, left margin, etc.
then play with fonts and such! it can be time consuming, but it worked out nicely for mine. i just did them 2 days ago!
you can download fonts from http://www.dafont.com
