I actually graduated from there back in 1994.... I think it was pretty good/ok then....I'd say 75-80% graduated and went on to college...that's my guess...I could be totally wrong....but other than that I don't know the statistics.
Today, from what I have read, the district has declined slightly. In the middle school about 55% of students pass the english exams and in the HS 60-65% go on to college. Don't quote me on the percentages...they are what I can remember.
I also think that parental involvement has a TON to do with a child's education and the teachers they have!!! IMO, this is a fine district and if you and your child care about education then they will do great!

I'm in Comsewogue district. I graduated from Comsewogue as well. Scotty is in Elementary school, and I have to tell you I am nothing but impressed with his school and the teachers (the principal is not my favorite...) I know kids who have recently graduated from the high school, and they say what anyone else can say...if you fall into the wrong crowd...

we live in it now, too. i thinks its ok. we don'thave kids yet but my dh went to comsewogue growing up and from what we see with neighbor's kids and all, it seems like it is good.

my sister is the head of the english department.... she loves it. its a hike for her to get there but its worth it she says.
