Conception Questions.

Hi Mommies.

Question:

I know I should know this but I don't and I am too lazy to reaseach it, so SHAMMA please help. When is the best time to TTC in a month. Is it right before your period??

Also, when do most woman start to experiece morning sickness, is it immediate after conception???

Denise, there's no flat answer for your questions....every woman's body is different, and not everyone ovulates at the same time each month.

You really DO have to do some research on this, and get to know your cycle through charting, especially if you are really focused on becoming pregnant fast....or, if you want to have the valuable info on hand at a Dr's appt, should any challenges get in your way of easy conception. If you want to take a more casual approach, than just don't use BC and see what happens.

ETA: morning sickness usually takes about 7-8 weeks after conception. but again - it can be different for everyone.

Shamma knows this inside and out...but I have to say, I think it's the 2 days BEFORE ovulation is the primo time! But finding out when you ovulate is important...I thought I knew for sure....I was wrong!!!!

I'm not a mommy yet but in order to find out when it is best to TTC for you you need to find out when your ovulating. For me it's on day 14 or 15 of my cycle but it's different for everyone.

I highly recommend you read Taking Control of Your Fertility. It explains the whole process, and stuff you never even knew before.

on a related note, I was wondering when your cycle technically 'starts'. I always here these thing about day 14 or day 18 etc, what day do you start counting?
