I plan on finding and booking my DOC today. So far, I have about four people who I'm really considering.
Christine - Exquisite Affairs Francesca-Dazzling Affairs Lisa - Elite Laura - LA Ryan
and a few others... my only concern is having a 'pushy' DOC. my family isn't into me having one but I know that it will make my day more enjoyable. I want to book someone who is professional and gets the job done, while remaining calm and sweet. Anyone else worried about this? A friend of mine had a DOC who was rude and pushy... this was in CT so no one from here but she caused more stress to the bride than anything.. who was apologizing constantly for her pushiness!!!
Anyone have any advice - on who to go for or who to avoid? You can FM me if you don't want to say it on here :)

i used christine from exquisite affairs and she was NOT pushy at all. Very laid back and never rude or anything to anybody. She just did what she had to do, helped out people with whatever they needed help with. But never yelling or being pushy in any way at all.

I used Tara from Exquisite Affairs Productions. I did not find her pushy, rude or anything but helpful.

I have Francesca from Dazzling Affairs and she is not at all all pushy mean or rude. She is so sweet, helpful, understanding and an overall great person.

I used Laura from LA Productions and she is far from pushy but she is extremely effective & gets the job done...and always with a smile on her face...great personality & great DOC!

i know ryan from above and beyond personally and i have been in a BP when she was the DOC... she is very professional, patient, reliable, prepared and friendly. she isn't pushy at all- she knows how to read social cues and knows what is appropriate...

I can't comment on the rest of the list but I used Christine from EAP and she was not pushy at all. She was so sweet and so helpful. My mom was a little weary, she didn't think I needed a DOC but by the end of the day she was raving about Christine. A lot of people made comments about how helpful she was that day, she didn't just help me. She helped DH, the whole bridal party and my mom. She was great

Anywhere from 500 to 2k. Most are in the 600-1k range though.

Are you meeting with them? Just doing a phone consult? Also, how much does price play into your decision? There can be a big gap in some of the individuals you selected. You have FM

I completely agree with this...Laura is a great person who is always there to greet you with a smile and a hug, she is not pushy is the least. She is incredibly nice, professional and effective in getting done what needs to be done
