I am confused about the different kinds of bustles. Can anyone explain to me what kinds the are. and what kind is best for a train that has a lot of detail. I think french is one but not sure. below is the back of my dress. Thanks for any help you can give!
ofcourse it seems you can't see the very bottom of the train in this pic, but it has beautiful detailing.
They should know how to do it best at the place where you got your dress. When it is time for you to do your alterations they will know what to do.

I forget what the other kind of bustle is, but there's basically two main ones.
The first one:
Just a plain pick up in the middle.
The french bustle can be done in a few different ways depending on the dress and the seamstress. Think the dresses from the Cinderella cartoon:
What you should probably do is ask your seamstress to pin up the dress both ways and then decide once you see it which one you want. She may make a suggestion, but it's really all about what you like better.
