ETiquette calls for NO tip for owners of businesses that perform services....so, My DJ and Photographers are the owners of their small companies...do I or Don't I dip them???
You don't tip the owners...their assistants if they have any, you should give a gratuity too.
you don't have to tip them.
I know that some people do tip teh owners anyhow, I asked a friend of mine who has his own business and of course they like to get tips, but they dont expect it, as an owner, you dont have to give anyone a cut of what you made, they often times work out of home and dont have the overhead costs of having a business that they pay rent on, so yes they have costs of supplies, but basically everything they make , they keep. So I guess decide how you feel about the job they do, mnay people wait until they see the product and then give a tip, I only have two vendors that are business owners and I will probably tip just because I have included into my budget, but I dont think its a necessity!!
