confused about videography

confused about videography

Hi ladies,

I wasn't going to have a videographer but after reading all of the raves on this forum I'm deciding to go for it! I like the cinematic style but am confused because most videographers I heard back from seem to offer 20-minute long DVDs. The most important thing to me is having footage of the whole ceremony. Pastor April is officiating and I think it's going to be my favorite part of the day. Am I better off going with a basic videographer then? Do the cinematic videographers only include pieces of the ceremony and not the whole thing? Would appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thanks!

if you want the whole ceremony in your finished video, you should be able to negotiate this into your contract with any videographer.

Another option is to get the raw footage, so you can watch the whole ceremony but have an edited version in your video.

check out eMotion Pictures .. the finished product is about an hour and a half and includes the full ceremony.

i'm getting a teaser along with a fully edited video that includes ceremony, reception and recap. my videographer will also give me all of the raw footage if i want as long as i give him a storage device to put it on. i think if you ask, you should be able to get what you want. some will offer the 20 minute clips as a cost saving alternative.
