Confused whether I should do a hair trial...

Confused whether I should do a hair trial...

I have a hair trial scheduled in two weeks and I'm confused as to whether I should go.
Here is the problem...the trial is $85 (I'm find with this)
Day of with Hair Extensions: $210 (she's coming to me)
Bridesmaids: $175 (Yeah....I KNOW!!!)

And, there is a minumum of 5 people if they were to make house calls, (Bride is included)!

I LOVEEEEEEEE HOW THEY DO HAIR!!! Travelling to the salon is definitely not an option. Ughhh...I hate this so much. I really have no idea what to do! It's just TOOOO much money!

What? I find that a bit pricy!
I have someone coming to my house -
My hair trail was 160 (I got highlights and a cut too)

Day of hair: 85
BM Hair: 75
Normally she charges 100 for the bride and 85 for BM. She also does make up. She loves doing updos. Its the same girl that did my sister, sister in law and their bridal parties when they got married 9 years ago.

Edited to add: If you want her info let me know. I can also send you some pics of her work.

That's really pricey. I mean for you...you can pay what you want. But I couldn't ask my BMs to pay $175!! If it were me, I wouldn't go. Because what if you fall inlove? Then its a hard decision. I wouldn't go. But thats just me.

I know!!! I think when I made the appt a few weeks ago I was just so caught up in the moment! I loved how they did hair...it looked fantastic! But, now that everything has settled down, I'm doubting it all!!!
I'm sending you FM!

If it was me, I wouldn't even go cuz i'd be afraid I'd fall in love, and there is no way my girls can afford that, and i can't afford to cover them. I got prices from about 15 different hair/make-up people and then based the trials I have scheduled off of price and LIW reviews.

Those prices are nuts, sorry. I'm atypical but I paid $20 for my trial with a stylist I grew up with. I can't see asking BM to spend almost $200 for hair with a 5 person minimum.

that sounds pricey for the BMs to be paying $175!

There are plenty of other people that will travel and wont charge that much.

it jsut seems like a lot. my girl is charging $75 each BM with no minimum

that is realllly pricey...as a BM I would never pay that

I say don't go, unless you can afford to pay that and possibly give a little towards your girls getting hair done like um 100 each....I think 75-100 is the max for a BM to pay for hair, I think 100 is too much but the absolute maxxxxx

sorry youre in this predicament

See if you can go to the trial, pay her, and then have her deduct that amount off your total bill at the end.

That's waht I'd do. I'd never book hair or make up without a trial.

I'm sorry but I think asking your bridesmaids to spend that much on hair is extremely high. Plus they are going to have to pay someone to do their makeup as well.

Ohhhh, I would never ask them to pay at all. I think $175 for bridesmaid or mother of the bride is highway robbery!

If you do try and schedule it when you have to go for a dress fitting SO you can see what you will look like the day of and if you want to make any changes it the perfect time.

I agree with the other girls - that pricey for both you and the BMs. I would search around some more and find someone else you like.
