How much time are you supposed to leave in between connecting flights??? I'm trying to figure out logistics for our honeymoon and it looks like we will have to leave for our honeymoon the day after the wedding. We are going to French Polynesia and will probably have to take a flight from LA at approx 1pm. We're going on a cruise out of Tahiti and the cruiseline is paying for the flight from LA to Tahiti so they said we would need to be on a 1pm flight. Just trying to figure out how early we would need to be in LA to catch a 1pm connecting flight. Thanks girls!

Re: Connecting Flights
Last time I had to connect we left like an hour in between flights. I was just worried about if the first flight was delayed. With an hour, at least we had some extra time to work with. Our flights turned out to be on time, but we got something to eat and had a drink while we waited for our next flight so it wasn't bad.

Re: Connecting Flights
i would always leave 2 hours plus. might seem like a lot but you have to think about if the first flight is late, you could end up missing the 2nd flight and then also adcount for boarding time, de-boarding time

Re: Connecting Flights
if the cruise is payin for your flight...is it a connecting flight from NY?
if not...you MAAYYY have to check out, pick up luggage in LA...then re-check in for an international flight in LA
definately look into this! because then i would say you need AT LEAST a 3 hours to do all that.

same here. i prefer 2hour because you'll never know how big the airport is - if your lucky, you wont have to change planes but imagine if you land in a huge airport where you have to cross to the other end?!?

Re: Connecting Flights
if it's not a connecting flight and you're just doing a layover i would say at least two hours bc you will need time to check out and go back through security for international flight
