Cons to ordering pre-cut paper for DIY invitations

Cons to ordering pre-cut paper for DIY invitations

I am DIY my invitations(pics in album). I have found a website that will precut the inserts for cheap. Then I can just run them through my printer. I am thinking that there is less chance of error then as far as not cutting straight, etc.

Has anyone done this and had problems with the precut paper?? Are there any pros and cons to this???

TIA

when we did our invites we printed samples on regular paper and had not issue. Then we ordered the precut paper and LOVED the paper, but our printer wouldn't pic it up to fee through b/c the size was too small.

In the end, we had to send back the paper and exchange it for full pieces. Still came out fine, but was more of a PITA to complete the project.

FYI, our paper was shimmery so we thought b/c it was smoother then regular paper, it wasn't being picked up by the rollers!

I'd order one or cut a piece of paper to the correct size and test it. I'm printing on pre-cut paper and I got it to work once I figured out the printer settings.

I'm printing to a DIY invite kit, it came with paper and everything. You can check out cardsandpockets or paperandmore websites for paper.
