Do they help you at all when choosing a dress or is it more or less you choose the 5 and try them on? Is the place really big? I'm pretty much certain about the dress I am getting, but I still want to try RK for some reason. Out of all the other places I visited, there was only one place where the girl made suggestions based on the style I told her I wanted, but I was still the one that picked all the dresses. A few places they did nothing but stood there. Is it only places like Kleinfeld's that choose the dresses for you and will give you suggestions based on your body type?

Re: Consultants at RK Bridal
I had Gilda when i was at RK and I had to choose my initial 5 dresses and then she made suggestions as she figured out what I liked and disliked about each dress. She then brought me a few more dresses that she thought I would like. I suggest going on a weekday when its not lunch hour so the consultants will have more time and not be so rushed.

you tell them what you are looking for and they will help you pick out dresses based on what you tell them and they will have you pick out your own dresses too.

My consultant (forgot her name) was fabulous. I told her exactly what I liked and she found me a dress based on what i wanted...so i did try on more than the 5.

Depends who ur consultant is! The lady I had when I went was REALLLLYYY Helpful to me
I had Cheryl and Jo. They were very helpful. I had a list of dresses from several designers that I wanted to try on. They each suggested I try on a dress that they thought would look good on me (and weren't on my list). While I ended up going with a dress I picked out, I definitely liked what they picked out. One of their dresses was the runner up.

I had Sheryl and she was great. I picked out my initial 5...didn't like any of them. She asked me what I liked, my budget and came back with 5 more dresses...she didn't like a few so she came bac with more, and more. So...I tried on a total of 13-14 dresses that day - a Saturday. It depends on how fast you are, she is, how busy it is and what mood they're in. LOL. I was told 5 and no more... but it was my first time and she found me the dress I LOVE.

Re: Consultants at RK Bridal
OK I was just there last Sat and I'm going again this Sat to make my purchase!
I went to 2 different davids bridal and a butt load of other places!
I went to RK for bridesmaids dress not wedding dresses... but im sure its the same... i gave them a list and also pictures. there were soooo many dresses on that list and these 2 women went aroudn and got all the dresses they had that matched! in addition the girls were able to go around and pick out anything they wanted. they tried on a TON of dresses. You only had 30 minutes in the dressing room. the staff was very nice and also very helpful. I dont think they suggested anythgn though. i think they just get what you want them to get for you. at least that was my impression. i also need to say.. that although they are a discount dress store and the dresses are kinda weathered... they were sooo nice and accomadating and it was just all around a pleasure to be there... which was unlike other places we went to.
I bought my dress at kleinfelds and so yea.. they suggest things, along with of course allowing you to pick as well. you can bring pics or style numbers too for them.
of the other places.. they were little boutiques.... and for the most part they didnt suggest things for me. on occasion one or two did. i think one i went to in jersey suggested a few things for me. OH AND SIDE NOTE... NO SALES TAX IN JERSEY.... SO YOU CAN SAVE MONEY ON DRESSES YOU BUY IN JERSEY!! just somethign to think about. i didn't do that... but i thought of it and almost planned it... but ended up finding my dress elsewhere.
I think if you ask them to do that they certainly should be able to. Some places just do it automatically whole others do it only when asked.
