Contact Lenses

Anybody wear them? I'm nearsighted so, I don't want to wear my glasses on the day of and are debating on whether or not it's worth it. I'm paying out of pocket.

Contacts are SOOO worth it. I cant wear glasses since I've had contacts. I've had them for almost 10 years now. You dont feel them at all.

I would suggest you wear them for a couple weeks before the wedding to get used to them. Don't just pop them in day of, it might feel weird.

I don't have vision coverage & get my contacts from www.1800contacts.com

I love the Acuvue Daily Moist...you wear them once & throw them out...

Re: Contact Lenses

Totally worth it. I don't usually wear contacts..for some reason I think my face has 'grown into' me wearing glasses and I feel I don't look like myself w out them...but I got them for the wedding b/c I didn't want pics w/ them. I only used the disposable trial pair I got the day I had my contacts exam. Back to glasses the day after

Re: Contact Lenses

I wear them to help me see far away. is that nearsited? LOL I get confused! My glasses are fine to wear around home, but they start to get uncomfortable the longer I wear them. And i always feel like I have to clean them. And I can't wear sunglasses if I have them on. I have beyond super sensitive eyes so sometimes my contacts do bother me, but I still love them more than glasses!

I also get my contacts from 1-800contacts. you can probably get a trial pair or two from your eye doctor also next time you go in for a checkup.

I love my contacts! I do recommend bringing an extra pair with you on your wedding day just in case they rip!

(my 800th post! woo-hoo!)

So worth it...it might be a little weird putting it on at first, but you will get used to it...I highly recommend going to costco (if your a member) they had the best prices!

Good Luck!

I wear them every once in awhile, but I need to get used to them for the wedding. My eyes dry out really fast- I always carry the rewetting drops.

Def. I agree best thing I bought! Some places have specials too. Try 100 contacts. Keep in mind its a diff. exam then the reg. glasses so once you get the prescription you can do the100 contacts its much cheaper. Also, make sure you do it a few months min. b4 the wedding so you get used to them.

I think it will be worth it. I want to get lenses too, but I hate touching my eyes!!! I have a phobia about it, but I better start trying soon b/c I don't want to miss a thing b/c I can't see without my glasses--like the look on my FH's face when I walk down the isle!!!

GO for IT! You'll be so glad you did

Re: Contact Lenses

i'm nearsighted and i wear contacts on special occasions. I will definitely be sporting them for the wedding. FH was glasses too but he cant wear them b/c he is always working with dust and chemicals so they are uncomfortable for him. Personally, I LOVE him in glasses.

If you really think about it, you are not technically touching your eye but the lens as it adheres to your eye. You get used to it. I can put mine on without a mirror easily now. I've had them since I was in 7th grade and my aunt was worried I'd get hit by lightning with braces and glasses!
