I just received the contract for my reception hall. What should I look out for? Anything I should get in writing in particular?

Make sure that anything they promised you orally, i.e. extras they will throw in, etc., is contained in the contract

Just read if twice and then triple check it and keep a copy for yourself.

Have someone else who is familiar with contracts look at it. My FI is an attorney so he checked it very closely.
