Contract signing question ***UPDATED WE HAVE SIGNED CONTRACTS!!!
We signed contracts about a week ago...the sellers haven't signed yet. Is that normal? How long does it usually take?

Sometimes.. it is.. have you called your attorney to find out what's taking them so long?

That happened to us. We signed them somtime in November and they didnt sign them until december 13

Do you know what their situation is? Are they moving and buying something else? Do they have another house already? It could be that they are waiting for the sellers of the home they are buying to sign. See if you can find out what their situation is so you know how motivated they are.

I know that they are moving to Vermont to be with family. They have young children and somehow 'forgot' that they would have pull the kids out of school when they put the house on the market in September. We have since then agreed to pay for them to rent so we didn't have to wait until the end of June. So I don't think that would be a factor. We aren't even planning on closing until April 1st.
