So one of the 2013 brides posted this on the 2013 thread, but I have the same questions, so I figured I'd post it here as well.

So i'm going to the Sandcastle tonight (apt at 730) to talk CONTRACT!!!!!!
Two questions for you girls....
Should i bring a wad of cash for the deposit, or should i just bring my check book? My mom was like....'do people still take personal checks'..and i was like OF COURSE! But, then my best friend made a point that they may not charge tax or whatever if i pay cash. What do you all think?
AND... Anything in particular i should discuss/ask them?
THANKS!!!!!

Re: Contract Talk HELP
i believe they take either cash, check, or credit card for the deposit (but the 'normal' monthly payments need to be either cash or check)
ask: -- what's included in the price (negotiate a lot here!) -- how early can you get there (if you want to get ready at the RH) -- is cake included? from which bakery?
those are the big things ... just remember to negotiate .... we were able to get a lower price, lower minimum, a few free things thrown in for free (free cordial bar, waived ceremony fee, free lounge furniture for CH, extra captained station and hors dourves for CH)

Also ask to be introduced to/speak with/deal with the exact person that you would be dealing with on your day. It pays to start building a rapport with those that will be closest to you & most accessible.
