Convo with SIL
so my SIL calls me yesterday to tell me she's going for her fitting, and to ask if everyone else has gone and what they paid.
I told her davids bridal is between $30 and $60. one BM went last week, 2 others are having theirs done elsewhere and my other is doing hers next week.
so my SIL says she thinks everyone at DB is a bunch of.....
anyway, and she's going to her own place.
fine, just tell them if its too long to add more pick ups, not cut the dress.
a little while later she calls me.
its costing her [B[$100 in alterations![]()

I told her she should have gone to DB, they have a cap and it was cheaper... deal with the attitude.
then she tells me...
you ready for this?...
the seamstress said she couldn't add 'hiccups' because the dress wouldn't be symmetrical.
me: um.. what?![]()
SIL: she said she couldn't add any hiccups cause it would be crooked!
me: you mean PICK UPS?
SIL: hiccups, pick ups.. whatever.
at this point what can I do.. everyone else had them added, so their dresses will be a little fuller... whatever.
I just thought that was funny.
