Cookware

Did you register for the set or separates?
Part of me says the set, but the one I want is pretty pricey (and I feel like I have quite a few big ticket items on the registry already) and do I really need everything in it? Is better to split it up so a few people can buy the pieces?
What did you do?

I think we register for Rachael Ray's set. You could also do seperates. It is totally up to the
both of you. I hope that I helped you out a little.

We scanned all the items in the set as seperates which was recommended to us by Bloomingdales & BBB. We received the most expensive item from a guest who could not attend our e-party. Cookware is All-Clad Master Chef II.

My parents gave me that set when I first moved out - I love it! I registered for some pieces to fill it in.

I think you could go either way, as long as people see which type of cookware you are interested in, they will buy separates if the full set is too much or the full set if that's what they want to do. You may end up with duplicates, but that's not such a big deal with cookware ....well at least for me, I seem to bea able to use every pot in the house to make an omelet

I say unless you have some pieces already...go for the set girl! Family members or friends may chip in together, or you can get it sent to you for a wedding gift! I was suprised how many things I got off the registry for the wedding!

We registered for a Calphalon set but also added on seperate pieces like the wok and the grill plate. I think you can go either way.

I registered for the 8 piece version of this exact set and we surprisingly already got it (we were SO happy!). Also added extra individual pieces to fill in the set.

Re: Cookware

I was going to register for everything individually but my Mom told me to do it as a set. It works out cheaper and people can always chip in for it or buy gift cards to put towards it.

I registered for the Tools of the Trade 14 piece set

ETA: My Mom must have been right. I just went to my registry to get a pic of the set and someone bought it! Yay! It's the only thing gone off the registry.

I say do the set. People are more likely to chip in and get the set as opposed to one person showing up with an 8' quiche pan. My mom got us the Simply Calphalon set which is a little less expensive and it's great.

Thanks everyone. I really want the Calaphon Stainless Tri-Ply Set. I love to cook and really want a good stainless set that will last a long time.
I guess people can chip in but there's plenty other chip-in-ables. I feel like my family will see 'Is she nuts?'
