That's where KTU is having the Parti Gras thing. I've never gonethere. Is it an awful area? My friend said she's heard there's been shootings there.
I went there for Hunkmania, and walked to Penn afterwards, didn't notice anything terrible.....
There's a lot of traffic in that area - I wouldn't worry.
I went there for a mortgage broker holiday party this past December. I didn't notice the neighborhood, but it was really nice there. 'The Nerds' played.
I've been there a few times with my girlfriends and we felt completely safe. I know a lot of people who have gone to Party Gras there so don't worry...I'm sure that there will be tons of people arriving & leaving with you so you'll be surrounded by plenty of people walking to the subway. If you're driving there, I think they have valet parking available if I'm not mistaken.
