My Fiance was baptized in Rockaway Beach, I have to get a copy of his Baptisitmal Certificate. How long do you think it will take to get?

Mine took a week to get and I actually thought it would take longer. Did you already call the church, mine wanted me to give them a letter with a return addressed stamped envelope as well as a $5.00 donation.

Yes, you should call. I called to make sure they have my records, etc. and then they'll tell you what they need from you. Do you also need a letter of release for him to get married in another church.. we did.
We needed like 10 things to give to the church we are getting married in, it's way too much.

FH's baptismal certificate came in the mail about a week after the phone call and they didnt ask for money!!

Give the church a call and request it-they should mail it directly to you. Ours took less than a week and FH is from VT

What church in Rockaway? I got mine from St. Francis in 2 days after I called, St. Camillus took 1 week for him....

Yes call the rectory, I gave them my name and address and I received it in the mail in 3 days...

It only took about three days to get ours, from both of our former churches. They are very efficient - I guess they are used to people getting married so they process the request right away

FYI: if you did precana it will say that you can only get a new one 6mth before. now earlier, i tired getting it a year early and i called my priest and he was like nope you need to get another one

A few days at most, sometimes they ask for a donation, sometimes not, depends on the church

My priest said to get everything done with the paperwork as early as possible I think that 6 month rule is stupid.
