So..I found out today that my cousin who is exactly my age but is getting married 2 years sooner plans to have a christmas themed wedding with burgundy dresses. Which is what I wanted! And these are the crappy people who all talk about each other. i don't want to look like a copycat. What do you think? Do you think 2 years apart is enough? I guess I just need reassurance...anyway most of my plans will not be finalized before their wedding (day after thanksgiving this year), so at least I'll know we won't end up with exactly the same thing! *sigh*

I wouldn't even stress over that, firstly your taste between now and a year from now will probably change alittle. New colors, trends, ideas,etc. will come out with every coming month. My taste changed so much from the time I got engaged to a few months before the wedding. don't fret..you got some time.

i think that 2 years apart is fine and just think you can learn from all the mistakes she made lol. but i know how you feel because i got a pear shaped diamond because i loved them since i was lil and no one else in my entire family had one. my cousin got enaged right before my shower and had a pear shaped diamond with a similar setting. you just to make your wedding unique and personlize it to make to represent you and you fh. there are plenty of beautiful colors you can use besides burgundy if it makes you feel strange using the same colors. i did purple and it looked great. another friend of mine did dark plue and silver around christmas and it was very nice as well.

Don't stress - I made the mistake of telling my friend all of the things i'd 'LOVE' for my wedding - particularly Black Staplwss BM gowns - she thought i was insane, HOW could I pick black ?? - WELL, she is getting married the year before me - and guess what, her BMs dresses are black - he flowers, the EXACT thing i said i'd want - blah blah - you get the point - MY POINT IS - don't let it bother you - it's you wedding - do what YOU LOVE and what YOU want and who cares if people think you 'copied' her - Like she's the ONLY person who's going to have burgandy BM's dresses and get married around Xmas ?? (Like I was the ONLY person who wanted black BMs dresses !!)
